Innovative Hague Event on MDG5 with Global Parliamentarians

We at the Center for Human Emergence and Hague Center for Global Governance, Innovation and Emergence were involved in designing and facilitating an innovative event for 60 parliamentarians from 37 national parliaments to advance progress on Millennium Development Goal 5 on Maternal and Newborn Health. Partners were the Dutch Parliament, World Health Organisation and Inter Parliamentary Union. Its importance was emphasised by the presence of the Dutch Government ministers for Overseas Development (Koenders) and Health (Klink), as well as HRH Princess Maxima, wife of the Dutch heir to the throne HRH Prince Willem-Alexander.
